John began his career in the financial services industry in 2003 prior to transitioning to his practice to Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union in 2022. A native of Columbia, John currently resides in Cayce, SC with his young daughter (Blaine) and two dogs (Charlotte and Bailey). John received his BA from Newberry College in 2001, graduated from The Synovus Leadership Institute at Aberdeen Woods in 2005 and The South Carolina Bankers Association School of Banking at the University of South Carolina in 2008. John also has previously and continues to be active in many local civic and community organizations: Newberry College Letterman’s Association, Cardinal Newman Alumni Board, American Heart Association Heart Ball Committees, The South Carolina Association of Financial Professionals, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man of The Year and The Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on The Babcock Center Board of Directors, Board of Directors for Serve and Connect and was appointed by the Governor of South Carolina, and currently sits as one of nine commissioners for the Real Estate Commission of South Carolina.
